17-07-15_ The Seven Sisters and Beachy Head

We'll be meeting at Norwood Junction at 8am for the 08:15 train, charging at East Croydon for the 08:33 train to Lewis, then changing again at Lewis for the 09:28 train to Seaford. Meet at as Norwood station, en route, or at Seaford at 09:47 (let me know!). You're responsible for your own tickets - much cheaper if you buy them in advance. I would suggest the 18:55 train - as a single ticket is only £8 as I write this. Other options are more expensive. The walk should take about 7 hours, so that time should be fine - and allow us some rests. Suggest you buy your train tickets soon to get the cheapest price.

It's a big one - 14 miles - and it's about 1 hr 45 train ride each way, so it'll be a long walk and a long day.  And be warned, it's a big walk, lots of hills and challenging sections, and we'll need to keep up a decent pace.

But it's a classic clifftop walk - meant to be one of the best in England. We'll start at Seaford, and end with fish (well, not me) and chips in Eastbourne, taking in the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head on the way, and a bunch of beaches

Wear decent hiking boots/tough trainers, bring waterproofs, and bring sandwiches and snacks.
